Treating Hypothyroidism During Pregnancy

I am suffering from hypothyroidism and I'm 6 months pregnant... My tsh level is 6.9... I've been taking medication since week #14 of my pregnancy and I'm feeling really tense about its effect on my child... I'm more petrified when I google information about it... Can anyone please help me out?

It is actually more risky to let it remain untreated, while you are pregnant, since that could cause a miscarriage and other issues, according to NIH studies.

It is actually far safer to take the medication as directed by your doctor.

What have you read about it that concerns you? Perhaps those issues can be addressed to help you feel more comfortable with taking it.
