No one but you and your doctor are going to know what's best for YOU, even if that something works well for other people.

Ampicilina (Ampicillin) however, is readily used for the treatment of eye infections. You'd just have to ask your doctor about the right dosage and form of ingestion (eye drops vs oral tablets) for this treatment. It can help the eye infection heal quicker than without it. It can also keep an infection away that keeps coming back.

If you develop an infection in your eye or your eyes, you may also be prescribed Amoxicillin antibiotics for eyes (as a first line of treatment). It comes in the form of eye drops. I personally don't know if Amoxicillin works better than Ampicillin, but at least you have another alternative if the Ampicillin doesn't get the job done for some reason or another.
