Small round white pill with 50 on one side nothing on other side is a 50 mg trazadone. ## Hi Deb, To answer your question.. Trazodone is used as an anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medication. Trazodone itself is in a class of drugs called serotonin modulators. Apparently it's supposed to work by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain, in order to help maintain a more balanced state of mind. Is this your first time using Trazodone? Hi all - new to this forum. I started taking Trazodone and Ativan after back injury and subsequent depression and insomnia. Now months later, I am weaning off the Ativan (down from 2.5 to .5 and running!). Doing it slowly and it's going well. But I am experiencing side effects from the Traz (blurred vision, headaches, etc.) and beginning to bring my dose down as well (was at 100 mg, now down by 12.5!). I tested positive for PCP and Pot and have taken neither of them!! I took a test at my PCP the next day and didn't test positive for anything other than what I was prescribed. I don't get it. I don't even know what PCP is! I certainly know what pot is but haven't touched it in at least 13 years!!! I tested negative at my Dr. the next day. I just don't know what to do. I could lose my job over this crap. Any advice?

We recived refills of prescriptions but the bags are marked only in Korean. The pill is a capsule, darg green on one end imprinted TRD and peach colored on the other end with YH imprinted. I am guessing it is either cholesterol or some kind of anti depressive. Will Molipaxin make you gain weight ## Molipaxin (trazodone) does list 'changes in appetite or weight' as a potential side effect. This could mean weight loss or weight gain, as it doesn't seem to specify. Is there a difference between the 433 pliva trazodone and the 6160 v because it seems to me the 6160 doesn't work as good is this possible?? ## Hi Mistified, When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Even though both medications are clearly identified as Trazodone hydrochloride 50 mg - certain "inactive" ingredients which may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. So yes, it is possible that you may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they are the same medication). Are they the same active ingredient? My doctor prescribed me a small dose of Naltrexone for MS and possibly Lupus. My mom takes Trazodone, so I would like to know if they have the same active ingredient. ## Hi AB, Both of these drugs are actually very different from one another (i.e. - they do not contain the same ingredients). Trazodone is in a class of medications called serotonin modulators, and is used to treat depression. Naltrexone is in a class of medications called opiate antagonists, used primarily in the management of alcohol dependence and opioid dependence. Molipaxin and weight ldo u loose weight with molipaxin ## Molipaxin contains the active ingredient Trazodone, which is an SARI class antidepressant. And it can cause weight loss in some people that take it, but it is not a very common side effects. It has been known to happen only in very rare instances. Learn more Trazodone details here.
