I've been on trazodone for 2 weeks but quit taking it 24 hours ago. Is it safe to take melatonin now?

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) there are no interactions listed between Trazodone and melatonin.

Also, our bodies naturally produce melatonin at night. So if there were to be an interaction, no one would be able to take their Trazodone at night or while napping in a dark room. I'm not trying to sound facetious, but in my honest opinion there really shouldn't be any problem with this combination, otherwise Trazodone would be rendered useless for all humans.
