Transamin And Dgest To Regulate Menstrual Cycle

My menstrual cycle started from 28 Oct and did not end until 6 Nov. Then my Dr gave me Transamin tablets to ease my periods. After three days I had my internal checkup and ultrasound which was clear, but my Dr give me Dgest twice a day for 14 days. After ten days I forgot to take the Dgest, then in the following days my menstrual cycle started again. What should I do now? Should I continue Dgest or stop? And should I wait for seven days to see that my periods are in a normal cycle?

Hi sara - I read on a japanese website [1] that Transamin contains the active ingredient Tranexamic acid. According to Medline Plus "Tranexamic acid is used to treat heavy bleeding during the menstrual cycle (monthly periods) in women. Tranexamic acid is in a class of medications called antifibrinolytics. It works to improve blood clotting."

As for Dgest, can you please confirm that is the correct spelling of the drug? Would you happen to know what the active ingredients listed are? I haven't found any information on a drug with that spelling yet.
