Tramental contains the active ingredient Sibutramine, which is a stimulant used to aid in weight loss. In the U.S. it has been withdrawn from the market due to severe safety concerns and is no longer allowed to be used here.

It can cause severe side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, accelerated heart rate and elevated blood pressure. There have been instances where these issues have been fatal.
