The only thing my grandmother has to give me is Tramadol. I am hesitant to take it because I'm afraid it will screw me up and I won't be able to take my evening dose of suboxone 4mg. Does anyone have any advice on this? ## I would advise against the Tramadol because (a) it is contraindicated while taking suboxone, and (b) it would most likely affect any lab work which your pm specialist would have you submit and you would risk being discontinued treatment. Instead, you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist if you can take an OTC pain medication such as Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, just don't take any other opioid type of medication. I hope this helps...
Hi. I'm wondering how many tramadol it takes to equal 30 milligrams of methadone? And will it keep me outta methadone withdrawals? ## Hello is anyone out there ?! I'll be stopped at 30 mg methadone pls help ## I'm sorry, Trissy, but there is really no comparison between them. Tramadol is a very mild opiate, you could not safely take enough of it to equal the dosage you were taking of Methadone. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey verwon thank u for responding..... I've read things of people saying that they work..... Well I've got 2 options at the clinic I'm down to 40 mg now use be on ...
Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## Do you remember the pharmacy that filled it for you? They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to look back and provide you with the information. Off the top of my head, the only pain reliever I can think of that starts with a T that is commonly used is Tramadol, it's a centrally acting analgesic, though it is related to opiates and causes similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Does that sound familiar? ## I thought it had two syllables. Don't recall what pharmacy I used then. Guess the orthopedist's record would have it. ## Talwin? I took this 40 years ago for a 2nd degree burn. Only 2...

Can i take tramadol 50mg if i took oxycodone 15mg 7 hours ago? I am back in pain. Please let me know if its okay to take the tramadol 50mg? ## You can, if they have both been prescribed for you and you are taking them with your doctor's approval. The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have fibromyalgia. Has anyone ever taken tramadol when they were on gabapentin, zoloft, and lorazepam? ## Hi, Yellowrose. The only thing with the meds you listed is taking the tramadol with Zoloft as they both work on the serotonin receptors and they may cause a serotonin reaction....or toxicity. I can't remember the exact name for it.....my brain froze on that one.....look it up though. The side effects of this include confusion, anxiety and some other aspects of this combo in which you should visit your ER if any of the side effects appear....especially the confusion. They will need to stop your medications and give you other meds to combat the reaction. You would probably need to spend the night in the hospital for them to do this so you are safe. I took tramadol 50mg, 6/day an...
Hello there... I have been taking tramadol (200mg) for sometime now and I have started noticing some redish spots on my genitals and other parts of my body.. How can I get tramadol out of my system and what do I use for redish spots? Thanks.
UpdatedI am 33 yrs old and in constant pain. Between the knee surgery and the dual fusion (L4-S1) the daily pain runs my life. With all the changes regarding narcotic pain meds my life has been turned upside down. I was on a regimen that worked well then BAM! It all went to s***. Now all my doctor will give me is Tramadol. This my friends is worthless. I am simply looking for a doctor that is not afraid to give me the meds I need and that my medical records warrant. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Fort Worth, TX. ## Need medication fo back & knee pain hydrocodone preferably ## A pain specialist without an attitude that has empathy for his patients? You will have to look overseas. The US is filled with greedy pain "doctors" that would rather have you and you...
I am in Virginia and I currently take 4 30mg oxycodones and 4 100mg morphines a day, I get drug tested every three months. I took some tramadol recently that I found but can't find my prescription for it. Will my doctor see that I took tramadol even though I already take Oxycodone and Morphine? ## If it is a rapid screening test tramadol usually won't be tested for so it won't show up. Even if it is a GC/MS lab test it should not show up unless they're are actually testing for tramadol. If it is lab that deals with pain management they might test for it. But if you only get tested every three months the tramadol will be long gone from your system if you stop taking it. Hope this helps? ## This does help, thanks. So rapid screenings don't test for tramadol and won...
what is the difference between tramadol 50 mg. and tramadol hcl 50 mg.? ## Hello, Shar! How are you? There is no difference, the hcl on the end of the one was just left off of the other, it designates the chemical salt that the medication is derived from. Is there anything else I can help with? ## WRONG ANSWER...THERE IS A DIFFERENCE. I'VE WAS PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL HCL 50 MG [TV58] FOR BACK PAIN IN FEBRUARY. MY DAUGHTER'S ENGLISH MASTIFF DOG, ELSA, WAS JUST RECENTLY PRESCRIBED TRAMADOL 50 MG [AN627] FOR HER PAIN. BOTH Rx CONTAIN 50 MG OF TRAMADOL, BUT ARE DERIVED FROM DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS, THE TRAMADOL 50 MG IS INSTANT RELEASE AND THE HCL IS EXTENDED RELEASE, SLOWER TO ACT, BUT WHICH GIVES LONGER LASTING RELIEF. I SEEM TO RECALL IT'S A MATTER OF A FORMULATION OF HYDROGEN CHL...
I take Tramadol HCL 50 mgl and Butalb-Acetamin-Caff . Is this dangerous? ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? The Butalbital with Acetaminophen and Caffeine isn't a narcotic, it's a barbiturate. It is most commonly used to treat migraines and its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, insomnia and nervousness. Tramadol, however, is classified by the FDA as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have they both been prescribed for you? Taking them both together could cause more sedation than normal, so your doctor should be monitoring you regularly. You should also know to watch for any possible danger signs, such as severe drowsiness, severe dizziness and troubl...
I filled a prescription on April 21st 2017 that said "must last 30 days". So starting on the 21st of April and counting 30 days, my 30th day seems to be on the 20th of May. Is this correct? ## Yes, you are correct, your pharmacy should be able to alert you, when you are due for a refill. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I can't believe that tramadol got bumped to schedule 4. It use to be over the counter and I took one a day and was pain free. I took them 5 days a week all summer with no withdrawals of any kind on the weekends or after 5 months of treatment. Now the doctors act like your asking for illicit drugs if you mention tramadol. Guess they made no money with an over the counter med that actually worked so they got it bumped to class 4. Aspirin is worse on the body and doesn't help pain. ## I am not sure if you are thinking of the correct medication, while it has been reclassified several times, Tramadol has never been available over the counter in the U.S. The FDA currently classifies it as an opioid and warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, it could also cause side eff...
Is there any tramadol that contains codeine? I was given a white oblong capsule and was told it was tramadol with codeine... ## No, Tramadol is an opioid narcotic that is actually stronger than Codeine. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and dizziness. What are the markings on the tablet? That is what would enable me to double check the active ingredients for you. Can you please post back with more details? Thanks!

I got a script of 50 tramadol on the 21st of April. When is a good time to get it refilled? I was to take one to two 3 times a day. ## Refill depends on the NUMBER OF TABLETS your original script called for divided by six. That's the number of days coverage you have beginning on April 21st. ## It can also depend on how the prescription was written. If it to be taken on an as needed basis, then your doctor may expect it to last longer than the division would imply. However, this is a controlled substance, since the FDA classifies it as an opioid, so your pharmacy won't let you get it filled too early. It is warned that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I ca...
Can you please tell me why I would fail for morphine when my ua was sent to the lab? The only thing that I had taken was tramadol ## Am on norco and tramadol. For pain all from pain doctor. I took only 1. 90mg.Of morphine It was perscribed by my other doctor. I go for a drug test tomorrow will that show up in my urin test. ## Listen. No. I've been stressing out about this for two days. If you are taking a P in the cup 12 panel test tramadol does not show up at all. It does not show up as a barbiturate, opiate/morphine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, or any damn thing else. I have never seen something so more 50-50 on the answers. I just did it. No. You are good to go. ## I have to take a drug test for my pain management contract. I am prescribed norco, 3 a day.
