Hello, Jane! How are you?

Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, and they do not have to measure against each other, just the name brand. The FDA considers that an acceptable therapeutic window and, in most cases, people don't notice any difference. However, in case where someone has been taking the name brand, or one from a certain manufacturer for a long period of time, a sudden change might cause some problems.

Thus, my best guess is that this one is slighter lower in the amount of the active ingredient, which may explain why it isn't working for you. In many cases, since the differences are slight, your body usually adapts in a week, or so. If not, you should inform your doctor of the problem.

Is there anything else I can help with?
