Ok hello guys,
Basically I have a severe ankle injury sustained in the forces. And have recently been taking Codene twice with two amitriptyline at night and it was putting me to sleep and alleviating the pain. Then around saturday last week I couldn't sleep all night so I went back to the hostpital when having my ankle checked up back on and told the doctor I was having problems sleeping because of the pain. He prescribed me with 50mg to take 4 times a day for two weeks. I was only taking it for a few days and was still not sleeping not even a hour in the night. And I have stomach pains ( nausea) currently today last night I have not been on Tramadol for two nights now and still have Nausea and sleeping problems. Last night was the only night where I had around 6 hours which was amazing. My head is constantly racing.

Any advice would help.

Hello, Hugo! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you're having.

Have you tried making sure to take the medications with food and not on an empty stomach? That will usually help to minimize the nausea and stomach pain.

The FDA classifies Tramadol as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
