Tramadol Shortage (Page 64) (Top voted first)

Does anyone know of a pharmacy with tramadol available? I tried ordering it but everyine keeps telling me its out of stock and not available until after the holidays. I run out of my rx today and can't wait until after the holidays so any help is appreciate it.

Sassy, thank you for your comment. We really do want our forums to be of help to individuals, but unfortunately this and a couple of the other Tramadol related discussions have required a lot of moderation.

You are right that we do not allow our forums to be used for the purpose of buying or selling medications. The main reason is because we have no way of knowing exactly who is posting the reply and whether or not they are affiliated with a seller. If we were to allow phone numbers of sellers to be posted all the time, it could result in major conflicts of interest and/or individuals being scammed by visitors with less than noble intentions. We hope this makes sense and apologize for any inconvenience.

um....hello..you all are ordering tramadol online without a legit script from a face to face with an actual doctor ad you're threatening lawsuit? seriously?
While I sympathize with your situation, I doubt you have a leg to stand on.

perhaps you shouldn't accuse people of accusing people of illegal activity ;) "projecting' perhaps?

I didn't say anywhere it was 'illegal' activity. I said, due to the nature of the complaint (in so many words) that I doubted a lawsuit would be feasible.However:
"Tramadol can be obtained legally from online pharmacies. First, you need a legitimate prescription from a legitimate prescriber (such as a physician). This means that you must have face-to-face contact and a legitimate medical relationship with your prescriber. After that, you can buy tramadol from any licensed pharmacy, including legitimate Internet pharmacies."
The keywords being "face to face contact".

And from the DEA website:
"Please note that a substance need not be listed as a controlled substance to be treated as a Schedule I substance for criminal prosecution"

A few years back, there was 'talk' of making tramadol over the counter. I'm not sure what became of that but I personally think it's a great idea.

I cant handle the bickering back and forth, can't we all just get along. Everyone knows more than everyone else, blah blah blah blah.... How about we discuss our current situation folks?? Whos got em and who is shipping them at this point in time.
Colleen, i never got through to that number you gave out that began with an 888 and obviously Kym didn't either, we probably read the same post. I went to the website ( i think) and ordered but no one ever called me back like they said they would. I see you posted a completely different number for Maria now so I will give it a try tomorrow.
No movement on my order from Steve yet, just the initiated Fedex screen, NADA!! I've accessed 9 different sources so far and tried to order from any and all, NADA cotton pickin tablet. i placed my international but that takes two weeks and I must supply for two adults.
Wondering if anyone has found a source that has stock yet?
Just a side note, the green and yellow caps are my favorite as well, i get them from Thailand but received red ones the last time and felt them to be weaker. But, what im wondering is, perhaps they were a sustained release and didn't even realize. I gave them all to the hubby, I just didn't care for them. He didn't mind them at all.
All our bodies are different and handle chemicals differently so to each his own.
Oh yeah, five seizures under my belt, two accidental overdoses and the rest were from stopping abruptly the trams... definitely must be careful with these devils.

While I have not read all 55 pages of this thread, I will say the title is absolutely false! There is no tramadol shortage, at all. Maybe if you're trying to get it from one of the illegal, scam, shady, on-line/overseas drug pushers (I refuse to call them pharmacies, as they are anything but) there is a shortage. But at a legitimate pharmacy, there is no shortage at all. I get a 180 count script from my doctor every month due to a serious accident I was in 13 years ago. I discovered tramadol eight years ago, after confessing to my doctor that I really did not want to take Vicodin any longer because I did not like the way it made me feel. He suggested tramadol as an effective pain killer that did not have the addictive qualities of Vicodin and was not as strong, thus eliminating the "zombie effect" I hated so much with Vicodin. Well it's not as strong so I have to take more of it, but it has been a godsend for me as a way of managing my pain, and allowing me to be a productive person (I'm an accountant/financial analyst, and I can't be in a fog all day at work the way I used to on Vicodin).

That being said, in the eight years I've been taking it, I have NEVER once had a problem getting my monthly 180 count tramadol prescription filled. Granted, my prescription often lasts longer than a month depending on how physically active I am for that particular month. But regardless, I have never had a problem getting my prescription filled, ever. So this thread is bogus, and unfortunately was probably started by an addict/abuser, and people posting on it are probably addict/abusers too. That's the sad thing with pain pills, is those of us who really do need them and don't abuse them, have to deal with issues caused by all the addicts, who do abuse them and obtain them illegally. If you tell someone nowadays you take pain pills, you get dirty looks because of the negative connotation created by the addicts/junkies.

Out of curiosity I checked on-line prices for tramadol, and you would have to be a complete junky to pay the kind of prices these scam operations are charging. I pay $8 at Walmart for my monthly 180 count script, compared to about $160 with the on-line scam operations for the same amount. Never in a million years would I pay that kind of money, but then again I'm not a junkie, and I don't abuse my prescription. Stop abusing them, get a life, and get a damn legitimate script, from a real doctor people!

Sure there are legitimate on-line pharmacies, and I'm sure the legit ones aren't experiencing shortages either.

For the kind of trauma I suffered, I really should and could be on a much stronger pain pill, such as Vicodin or Oxycontin. I could EASILY get scripts for those, but choose not to because I don't like the way they make me feel. I have never abused my tramadol scripts, and conversely, my doctor is very impressed that I would choose such a relatively weak pain killer, all in the name of being productive. So to call me an addict is laughable. Before my accident I abused zero drugs, I don't even drink coffee. I eat organically, I exercise regularly (depending on my pain levels the intensity varies), and if there was ANY natural alternative to managing my pain as effectively as tramadol does, I would be all over it. Sadly, tramadol is the weakest pain medication that still allows me to live relatively pain free and still be a productive member of society.

Lastly, as I said again, even though I get a LEGITIMATE 180 count script, it's rare I consume nearly that many in a month. Usually it's about 100 to maybe a 120 per month. But the amount I take has nothing to do with the original reason I posted, and that is to refute the title of this thread, because it's bogus. I have never experienced a shortage ever, and my girlfriend who interestingly enough also uses tramadol for her endometriosis, has never had a problem getting her scripts filled either (she only gets a 90 script count however, and only uses maybe half that amount during the week of her period).

Whether you care what I have to say or not, does not change the fact that there is no shortage of this medication for legitimate scripts, filled by legitimate doctors (meaning a real in-person consultation), and filled by legitimate pharmacies, whether they be on-line or walk-in. It should be a pretty obvious clue as to what is legitimate and what is not when comparing prices, because real pharmacies don't charge a $160 for prescriptions that should cost no more than $20! Junkie pharmacies appealing to junkies who will spend their last dime to get their next fix, do however. Based on your hostile post, I wonder if you're one of the junkies I speak of, as junkies tend to get VERY defensive when they're accused of being junkies.

HEYYO....Do u know of any overseas pharmacy like realmeds? they seem to be having problems with paypal. They r only allowed to receive a certain amount of money per month....The went over the limit... Hope they come back.

Ruby I am really confused as to what you mean to stop telling everyone about your pharmacy. I have been coming in here for over a year now to help others find out where to go to get meds they need. Just didn't understand why you didn't wanna share with others? Did I miss something?

In certain states like New York Tramadol became a controlled substance. I dont believe there is a shortage of Tramadol. the new laws are stopping pharmacys to ship to certain states.

Kym. I'm going to agree with you. It's always easy for people to become angry and defensive of "their" so called online pharms. But, @ one point I'm sure someone's word of mouth brought them to those places also. It's not as though they just miraculously show up. People come here for help and for someone to get pissed off their place is being given away, well too bad so sad. Yes, it does suck when prices go up, but where would they be had they not found out about these sites? Thanks for saying something, bec. it was bothering me also. People come here for help!!!!

Hey guys, its me, dont chime in too much but always read.. I gotta go with Kym and AngiKay on this one. I'm pretty sure the title of this thread and its soul subject is a person in need of assistance in finding a valid source. Well..that would lead me to believe I'm going to find sources in this thread, right? FYI, this is not the only forum on the web like this, and I've used a half dozen of good ones since December who have helped me out and which led me to help others-isn't that what we are supposed to do; pay it forward?
