Based on my research, there is consensus that tramadol is the most effective oral opioid analgesic for reducing pain in persons with chronic pancreatitis; however, tramadol is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. Because of that, I would just recommend clarifying with your doctor the 'risks vs benefits' before taking any.
