I am a 80 yr old women & take 50mg of tramadol 4 times a day. is there any research about vitamins interacting with tramadol , I am on a full regiment of vitamins
I was prescribed this for pain. I had stitches in the wrist. If I knew it was a low level antidepressant I wouldn't have taken it. My paperwork says nothing of it, just opioid. I was not informed by er doctor. Do you think I have a legal case? This is totally wrong.
i am worried becauei am taking 10 mg of paxil 1x a day and 50mg of tramadol 3x. is this safe?
@Post #143,
Yes. I don't feel as aroused as often when I am on it.
Tramadol is a synthetic opiate type medication, that does not have the same effect as opiates, that is not as affective as opiates and has some side-effects that are intolerable to some people, if this medication helps for then that is no reason to stop taking it, however when prescribed opiates they have to weigh up the difference between dependency and quality of life, in my case quality of life comes before dependency, I have been on Fentynal, morphine, oxycodone, physeptone and dihydrocodeine which I find to be the best medication possible for myself, I did not find tramadol worked in my case, but every person is different and it a case of trying different medications that suit you, if you are prescribed medication and is not working properly you must be straightforward with your doctor and tell him that they are not working, again with serious injuries like myself quality of life becomes before dependency, this idea was given to me by one of the top surgeons in the UK, it is simply a case of trying different medications, you must be upfront with your doctor and tell him what works and what doesn't, of course people want pain to be dealt with straightaway, but this is not the case because doctors must decide which is the best medication for you and you must have patience but if you deal with it correctly you will find something that suits you best, do not be scared to insist to your doctor that the medication he is giving you does not work on you're not prepared to wait up to a month for it to work, unlike full opiate medication which should work straight away, quality of life comes second to dependency depending on how you are..... it is a shame that abuse of many medications that have a very good therapeutic effect is treated with caution by the medical establishment simply because people abuse them, opiate medication actually has a low toxicity (less so than paracetamol but it is the addiction and the people who abuse drugs that have led the medical staff to treat them with caution and not wish to prescribe them, but morphine and its analogues are a highly valued treatment, A normal person should not suffer a reduced quality of life simply because others abuse these drugs. But you must understand the doctors policies on prescribing opiates due to the worry about people becoming dependent on them them for various reasons. This is understandable. Many studies look for a type of medication that mimics opiates and opioids without the depandacy but so far prove unsuccessful, many factors are involved but treatments grow at an exponential rate, one day a perfect narcotic medication with little dependency may be produced, this would be a breakthrough, good luck.
Kratom helped me, i was very suprised because the withdrawl is awful when you stop cold turkey. Its tea, and very gritty butt plug your nose put about a tsp. In a coffee cup mix as good as you can and drink fast. It helped with hot flashes for me pretty quick..

Re: Mr. McKinney (# 1)
My daughter is a PA-C years ago her pharmacist friend told her generics Are NOT the same! Fillers differ but active ingredient could be only 80% by law then it was dropped to 70% They tested products coming in from India and found 50%!!! Another big lie to us
Re: Mr. McKinney (# 1)
