Tramadol Acet Side Eff

I was prescribed Tramadol / acet 37.5 / 325 mg for a pulled muscle I was told take 1 or 2 pills every four hours if needed. The first time I took half a pill only . I do have a sensitive system but not so sensitive that what occur after taking just that half of one pill happened. Within 20 min the pain went away completely I was very tired to the point I needed to lay down within minutes afterwards , I start to halucinate I didn't even fall asleep yet. I remember thinking ( Oh my god ) what is happening I heard of hallucinations but never experienced it myself. I kept telling myself ( go to sleep) eventually it will wear off , on and off I slept through the night , each time I woke up the hallucinations where there. Finally once morning had arrived, the hallucinations were gone. I called the pharmacist and asked him if there is that kind of side effect to this medication ( Hallucinations) he told me yes but it is rare. Well needless to say he mentioned not to take those again. I ended up suffering through the pain of the pulled muscle , but I didn't mind because the hallucinations were pretty darn scary!

I can completely understand how that would be terrifying and I wouldn't have taken any more after that myself. I've suffered through some interesting medication reactions, because I'm also very sensitive to them, but never any hallucinations, yet.

Have you made sure to report this to your doctor and pharmacy, so they make sure it's listed in your records? That way you can make sure no one prescribed you anything that contains it in the future.
