Tramacet J-c On One Side And T/p On The Other

I am 82 and have suffered from RLS (restless leg syndrome) for years. Have been taking Requip but they now seem to have been taken off the maket. They did help quite a lot but the symptoms never seem to go away, only enough to let me get to sleep! A friend gave me some tramacet which I have taken before bed but they take some time to react. First of all should I be taking these at all and should I take them earlier, as I am now sleeping later in the morning.
Does anyone else suffer from RLS and maybe suggest another pill?

@Elsie,

My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to the active ingredients in Requip (ropinirole) & Tramacet (tramadol + acetaminophen). Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of:

"Using tramadol together with ropinirole may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor."

Based on that information, I would probably wouldn't recommend taking these two medications at the same time. But if you're curious about proper dosing times, this type of advice is usually best determined by your doctor.

Have you tried searching for any natural alternatives that treat RLS?
