Total Pill Mass: Guanfacine 2mg From Actavis

Guanfacine Hydrochloride, 2mg. How much does the total pill weigh? I'm trying to figure out precisely what percentage of it is guanfacine.

It sounds to me like you may have to invest in a scale in order to best determine the weight. All of the drug monographs I've seen for this particular pill made by Actavis don't really go into much detail other than the size (8mm), shape (round), color (orange), and imprint (WATSON 453). However, if it's of any help, here is the list of inactive ingredients it contains outside of Guanfacine:

Anhydrous lactose + D&C Yellow No. 10 + FD&C Red No. 40 + Povidone K29/32 + Stearic acid + Microcrystalline cellulose + Aluminium oxide
