Apparently not becasue i just got some from my vet the other day. Your vet must be allowd to prescribe it and keep records. I hear levorphanol is very close - ask your vet.
A generic for it is Butorphanol.
The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
