Topzole Not Working

I have been prescribed Topzole 40 for a suspected ulcer, it helped for the first week but three weeks in I am suffering with terrible reflux again. I am supposed to be on it for 2 months, I have had the odd glass of wine and a cup of coffee each day, could this be the cause or could there be another reason.

Yes, when you have an ulcer and a problem with reflux, it's usually best to refrain from alcohol and coffee for several months, to allow healing to occur.


The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and flatulence.

Are you also watching what you eat to stay away from spicy and/or acidic foods? They can also contribute to the problem.

It's also just possible that this medication doesn't work for you and you may need to try something else.
