Toprol And Elavil Interactions

I am currently taking 50mg of Toprol daily to control irregular heartbeats. My orthopedic doctor has prescribed 10mg of Elavil daily for 30 days to help with back pain. Is there any danger that these two drugs might cause an adverse reaction?

I am also taking 10mg of elavil at nights to help shut my mind down so I can fall asleep. During the day time I take 25 mg of Toprol twice a day. My Dr. has no problem with these 2 drugs being taken together.
