Toothache & Jaw Pain From Xarelto?

I have been on 20 mg of Xarelto for about 2 weeks after a week of 30 mg. I have developed pain in my lower jaw. I have seen my dentist who took X-Rays and probed the area. Nothing wrong with my teeth or jaw. Has anyone else experienced this? One of the less common side effects noted on websites is toothache.

Xarelto has been known to cause joint pain, in some people that take it, as a side effect, and if that is the case, that could also be causing the pain you're describing as a toothache.

I have a disorder in my jaw joints called TMJ, and when it acts up, the pain is quite horrible, and I will often feel like I have a toothache, even though I no longer have any teeth to ache, because I have dentures.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change, since your body has adjusted to the medication?

I also have had bouts of TMJ previously. The pain now comes mainly from a temperature sensitivity. Cold drinks and ice cream. It could be a combination of TMJ and a sensitivity from Xarelto. The pain is under control now. Thanks for the reply.
