Tooth Ache And Apo Amoxi Clav

I have severe tooth pain for which Advil only works for about an hour. The pain started suddenly, How long will it take amox clav 625 mgs to work?

Hello, Jerseygirl! How are you?

This is an antibiotic, not a pain reliever and it will take about 3 days for it to start working to eradicate the bacteria, though you shouldn't experience any worsening after the first 24 hours.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
