Took Amoxicillin Antibiotic While On Lo Loestrin, Now Spotting

I took amoxicillin for two weeks and took 3 500 mg pills a day. I never miss a birth control pill as well and try to tske it at the same time everyday or around it. A week after I was done with the antibiotics I got a really heavy bad period I haven't gotten one of those in months and it lasted 8 or 9 days. Then a week break and now been spotting or having a mini period for a week now. Is this all messed up from the antibiotics ? I haven't had intercourse in months and been checked recently from the Gyno

Hello, Ric! How are you? Sorry about the problem you're having.

And yes, it most likely is from the antibiotic, though only your doctor can tell you for sure. But many of them are known to lower the amount of estrogen that you absorb from hormonal contraceptives, such as this, which reduces their efficacy.
