To make a long story short, I may not be having seizures. Dr. took one EEG and said I had two seizures in 20 minutes! What are seizures? What do they feel like? I have no idea what this doctor is talking about. I have never passed out. I'm a 61 year old female; active and maybe have 1 cold/year. I started taking the depakote this past saturday; 1 in am, the other at pm. It made me so sick, double vision, mean, angry. I do not have biopolar. So the total number of pills since saturday I have taken 2 full days of depakote and only one pill yesterday that made me so sick (5 pills total). I know I have to taper; should I take one more tablet today and stop? Thank you.

It can vary from person to person, depending on the type of seizure and the severity. For example, my husband experiences focal point seizures, and his just make him phase out for a few minutes.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight gain.
Are you on any other medications?
