Too Much Ampicillin

I just got off of ampicillin a week ago for an ear infection and went to the dentist yesterday and he gave me a prescription of ampicillin to take. I just wonder is it safe to take this again?

You should take it as directed by your dentist, there are risks to taking it inappropriately, but otherwise all should be fine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
