Time Needed To Wait Between Taking Cipro And Amoxicillin

I have respiratory issue and was put on doxycycline as I was going into bronchitis or pneumonia. A week after that I got diagnosed with a UTI but at that same time found out I had a tooth abscess. I was told by the regular doctor and dentist to be careful of taking too many antibiotics. I finished the Cipro about 7 days ago and still dealing with teeth problems (two teeth had root canals and 1 extraction). I contacted the dentist and he said to try and go as long as possible without taking the Amoxicillin. I’m feeling very run down like I have the flu but I don’t and still Am I safe to take Amoxicillin and a probiotic now? How long should someone wait in between taking antibiotics?

Only your doctor can specify how long a time period is appropriate, but you do know your body better than anyone else possibly can, so sometimes you have to follow your own intuition on such things.

The FDA warns that antibiotics may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.

The main concern with taking them too close together is the possibility of developing C. Difficile, which can put your life in danger.
