Is a 100 mcg thyronorm dosage fine with a thyroid level of 4.626?

My wife is 15 weeks pregnant. My doctor has done a TSH test and the result is 3.8. He has advised me to take thyronorm 50 mg once daily. My family is suggesting I try homeopathic medication and not to take thyronorm due to its side effects. They are saying my thyroid level is not too high and if u start thyronorm u have to continue it for life. What should I do?

Iam 36 of age my TSH level is 10.34 iam taking 50mcg thyronorm since 2 months is it ok or how much dosege should be taken?

I am 26 yrs old. I recently tested thyroid levels and my TSH was 3.64. Doctor said I have hypothyroidism and prescribed me thyronorm 25mg for three months. When I looked upon the internet for normal range levels, it showed that numbers below 4 are ok. So why did my doctor prescribe this? I am 170 cms tall and overweight 88kgs. I also have pcod, for which I am not taking any medicine currently but trying to lose weight. Will taking thyronorm have any side effects?
