Thyronorm 50mcg And Weight Loss
UpdatedI am 24 yrs old. My tsh was 26 and t3/t4 was normal. My physician prescribed me 50mcg thyronorm so I have been taking it since september and am experiencing weight loss. Once I checked my tsh, t3 and t4 it was normal. Is it necessary to continue this medication for lifelong treatment? What should I do?

You should take the medication as long as your doctor directs you to do so, it may be the only reason your levels are testing normal, now.
As reported by the NIH, weight loss can be a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and hair loss.
Are you on any other medications?
