UpdatedI have been prescribed the above med and been on it for 1 mnth, still feeling lethargic, retaining water and battling to lose weight. How long does it take to start working?

It really depends on your thyroid values, you may need another dosage adjustment. In most cases, doctors wait about 3 months, to see if there is any change. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hair loss, itching, and weight changes.
What dosage are you currently taking? Are you on any other medications?
