Three Years Of Having Jadelle Implant And Now Having Irregular Periods

So i had the implant inserted in 2011 and for the last three months i have had my period which has been ongoing to the point where i might have one day without bleeding and then 2 weeks of full bleeding with no breaks and so on.

Its getting to the point where i am wanting to have the implant taken out.

Yes, that does happen to some women with Jadelle, since it is a progesterone only form of contraception. You may be able to take an oral contraceptive, as well, to get a better hormonal balance.

Have you consulted your doctor, yet?

(Three years)

I have not yet consulted with my doctor but i am thinking of having it taken out completely and going for an oral contraceptive. I was more seeking advice from women who have had the jadelle as long as i have and the same symptoms :)
