Three Weeks On Chantix

I have been on Chantix 3 weeks now and it has done absolutely nothing for my desire to quit smoking. I feel like I took $450.00 and threw it away in the garbage can. I am having dreams and feeling nauseous at times. The morning dose usually makes me vomit but just a little. So far I am not impressed with this overpriced medicine to quit smoking.

sherry I had dreams but nothing major. I was having a nauseous feeling in the morning with some slight vomiting. Also a queasy stomach. I took some zantac when I took the medicine and it subsided but the chantix thus far is not working for me. I thnk my next step may be hypnosis.

Go to your doctor and ask for well but ran. Get the chantix out of your system,you probably are allergic to the medicine. Good luck and God bless all the people who are trying to quit smoking. The life your saving is worth the effort. Good luck to you. Rocket666

I was just wondering if you could tell me what side effects you are having. I have only been on chantix for 6 days and I am having a lot of dizziness and lightheadedness. Feels like I'm walking around in a daze constantly.

Hello, Pam! How are you doing? I am very sorry that this medication isn't working for you.

However, like any other drug, there are always some people that it won't work for and there is no way to know ahead of time who that might be.

What else have you tried to quit smoking? Any other medications or cessation aids?

When nothing else worked for me, I found that a slow taper really helped.
