Three Drugs For High Blood Pressure

I have been given Atenolol 100MG and Lisin/HCTZ 20-12.5 by one doctor and Nifedipine 60MG ER by a cardiologist and told to take all three drugs for high blood pressure. Is this normal to take 3 different medications? I'm feeling very tired all the time.

Yes, if you had particularly high blood pressure that needs to be brought down fast, then having multiple drugs prescribed is completely normal, due to the fact that it is far too dangerous to leave it high.

The tiredness you are feeling could be due to two reasons, the first could be side effects of the medications, which should taper off as your body adjusts to them.

The second can be due to the blood pressure lowering, since your body is used to running at a higher level.
