I have been on the accutane drug for 5 months now I am 15 and yes my skin is clear with still a few spots but going through the side effects hasn't been worth it. I have suffered with terrible mood swings one minute ok the next crying, serious depression that has caused me to mess up my exams, miss school, not bother to leave the house. My life has been turned upside down and I prey I will feel better after coming of the drug but I have lots my whole persernality I used to be happy always with I smile bubbly and make people laugh, now I am nothing.i have created a bad relationship with good beacuse I have become so depressed I eat constantly to make myself feel better yes at the time it does but after I just feel sick and depressed again not one day goes by when I am happy, I believe that the drug should be BANNED!!!! I wouldn't recommend

I am so very sorry about what you're going through.
This drug has been known to cause such side effects, in some people that take it, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience nervousness, insomnia, ringing of the ears and thinning of the hair.
And yes, the depression symptoms have been reported to disappear, after someone stops taking it.
How long will you be on it? Have you informed your doctor?
