Is there a difference between metoprol and lisinopral/

They are both used to treat similar conditions, such as high blood pressure and certain cardiac problems, but yes, they are different medications.

Metoprolol is in the class of medications called beta blockers, specifically, it is a selective beta receptor blocker.

Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor.

In cases of severely high blood pressure, or hypertension that has been resistant to other treatments, it may be necessary to use them both.
