The Development Of Antibiotic Resistance & Tolerance Through Self Medication (Top voted first)
UpdatedNever self medicate. Avoid taking antibiotics for the common cold, viral diseases, dysentry, or mild fevers, as these are mostly self-limiting and usually antibiotics are useless when administered. Whenever, antibiotics are to be prescribed, always use the appropriate selective narrow spectrum antibiotic depending upon strain/bacterium and never discriminate antibiotic use...
If there is no action today, there will be no cure tomorrow. Help to avoid antibiotic resistance and only prescribe the correct antibiotic of choice. Always take the full course/duration of treatment. A sensitivity test should also be taken before prescribing, as many antibiotics have become useless, since microbes have developed resistance due to irrational prescriptions and mismanagement of the dosage regimen by patients.

It is never wise to self-diagnose and self-medicate for any reason, be it if you think you have an infection or a stomach problem.
The advise and diagnosis of a doctor should always be sought, whenever one experiences anything new or unusual.
The above post has great, solid advice.
great solid advice, must be followed
