Teva Amoxicillin What Does It Treat (Page 2)

I have a brand new prescription of teva-amoxicillin. I had a gum infection - within two pills the pain was gone and I have this bottle full.. I now have a temperature with which I believe is due to a chest infection. Will this medication help?

I have a gum infection my right bottom side of my face is swollen out it is noticible I have Teva Amoxicillin 250mg I got for something else 6 months ago and the Dr gave me 50 which was a lot more then what I was prescribed to take so I have extras. Can I take them to help with the infection I have now?
