I have severe neurapathy and use very strong topical ointment. It contains: Marcaine, Ketamine, Ketoprofan, Clonidine, Gabapentin, Lidocaine, Amitriptyline, and Lanacaine in patches. The severe pereprial neurapathy can develop dermal ulcers. Clearly some ointment that will enter the blood stream. In addition, I take oral meds that may trip me, as antibiotics for the MRSA. Trileptal and Percocet.

Almost all medications, whether ingested or topical, that have the caine at the end are distance cousins to Cocaine and with regular, heavy use they may cause a false positive for it on a drug test. It is rare, since not a lot usually enters the blood stream when they are applied topically, but it has been known to happen.
Do you use this by prescription or is it something you obtain and use on your own? If you are using them by prescription, then it should just be a simple matter of informing those doing the testing that you are using it, when you go in to have the test done.
Some of these are not going to do anything topically, such as the Gabapentin, Clonidine, Ketamine and Amitriptyline, so using them in it really makes no sense, whatsoever.
