Telma Am 40
UpdatedI am 53 years old and have been using telma am 40. Is it advisable to take this medication to help control my bp? My bp is 140/80. Are there any side effects for using telma am?

All medications carry the risk of side effects, even over the counter items.
Telma AM contains the active ingredients Telmisartan and Amlodipine, it is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions.
Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach pain.

I am 49 years old and I live in Tamil nadu within the Vellore district of Arakkonam. I have been experiencing blood pressure readings of 160/90, for which I still take telma-am tablets daily at night (only one). After dosing, my blood pressure stabilizes at 120/80.
I am 45yrs old. Started having high BP (160/100) after my son's accidental death. Initially controlled with Telma- AMH 80. Later I started doing morning walks & meditation and found my BP on the lower side (95-130/60-70). Then I reduced my dose to Telma AMH-40. With this my BP is between (100-130/75-90). I have observed that sometimes I forget to take my medicine and upon checking my BP it is always under control (130/80). Should I continue or can I go for a lower dose? I am still doing meditation regularly.
