Telekast F Tablet

I had little stomach pain. Doctor prescribed telecast F which I am supposed to take for 30 days, twice a day after meals. What is this tablet for? The worst thing is 25 days are over and still I do get stomach pain some times...

Telekast-F contains the active ingredients: Montelukast 10mg + Fexofenadine 120mg.

Montelukast is used to prevent difficulty breathing, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing caused by asthma. Montelukast is also used to prevent bronchospasm (breathing difficulties) during exercise. Montelukast is also used to treat the symptoms of seasonal (occurs only at certain times of the year), and perennial (occurs all year round) allergic rhinitis (a condition associated with sneezing and stuffy, runny or itchy nose). Montelukast is in a class of medications called leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs). It works by blocking the action of substances in the body that cause the symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis.

Fexofenadine is used to relieve the allergy symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (''hay fever''), including runny nose; sneezing; red, itchy, or watery eyes; or itching of the nose, throat, or roof of the mouth in adults and children 2 years of age and older. It is also used to relieve symptoms of urticaria (hives; red, itchy raised areas of the skin), including itching and rash in adults and children 6 months of age and older. Fexofenadine is in a class of medications called antihistamines. It works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergy symptoms.

Stomach pain is actually listed as a side effect of Montelukast. It should go away shortly after this drug gets out of your system. Keep us posted if you're able to! I hope this info helps.
