Telday Side Effects

after taking 4 tablets of telday 20 mg , my 80 year old mother is feeling drowsy for next ten days.
She already had a neurosurgery 13 yeaqrs and is under medication for 13 years

Telday contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, it is an ARB that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure.

Drowsiness can be a common side effect of the medication, along with dizziness, headache and stomach pain and the side effects will usually last for about 4 to 6 weeks, while her body adjusts to the medication, before they begin to taper off.

In addition, if she was used to her blood pressure being high, then the very act of lowering it will cause her to feel some drowsiness and fatigue, until her body gets used to it.

You said she took 4 tablets, do you mean she stopped taking it after that?

If she has high blood pressure, then she really needs to be treated for it, the hazards of letting it continue out of control are far worse than the drowsiness she may experience for a few weeks from the medication.
