Hi Brian,

I'm sorry to hear that. Medication can definitely be expensive!

This drug contains Rifampicin (150 mg), INH/Isoniazid (75 mg), pyrazinamide (400 mg), and ethambutol HCl (275 mg).

Possible side effects:

"Rifampicin: Flu-like syndrome; hematopoietic reactions; cutaneous, GI & hepatic reactions; shortness of breath; shock & renal failure. Hypersensitivity reactions. INH: Disturbances of hepatic function, convulsions, optic neuritis & atrophy, memory impairment, toxic psychosis, hepatitis & peripheral neuropathy. Pyrazinamide: Hyperuricemia. Ethambutol: Decreased visual acuity due to optic neuritis; joint pain, anaphylactoid reactions, dermatitis, pruritus, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, GI upset, malaise, headache, dizziness, mental confusion, disorientation, hallucinations." [1]

Since your wife has only stopped taking the medication for a couple days, there may still be some left in her system. Regardless, I haven't read that this medication causes withdrawal symptoms of any sort. If she were to experience any side effects, they would most likely be along the lines of what I listed above.

If she starts experiencing serious issues for some reason, contact her doctor and seek medical attention immediately.

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Isoniazid Details

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Pyrazinamide Details

You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ethambutol Details

I hope this information helps!
