UpdatedMy kid is 3 & 1/2 yrs old. He has blocked nostrils and a cough. How should we use this dose for him?

Well a suspension is meant to be swallowed orally.
However, Cefixime is an antibiotic and if he just has nasal congestion and a cough due to a cold, this won't help, because a cold is caused by a virus, not a bacterial infection.
Was this prescribed by his doctor?
If you aren't familiar with it, you can learn more Cefixime details here.
