Tapering Off Apo-prednisone

My doctor started me on apo-prednisone 5mg for a rash all over my body and scalp. My plan is to start with 10 pills then taper by one pill every second day down to zero! How many days should I actually be on these then if tapered properly?

That would be a total of 10 days, on the 11th day, you should be out and not have any pills left to take.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, acne, insomnia, nervousness, and elevated blood pressure.
