Tan Oval Pill

I found a half of a pill with an 8 on one side in my brothers room. It was small and tan with whit on the inside. What could it be?

I'm sorry, but without knowing the full imprint, it is going to be difficult to figure out what this tablet contains, there are quite a few possibilities, both among prescription and over the counter medications.
