Taking Tramadol And Meloxicam Together

I've been taking meloxicam 15mg once a day for three weeks. Now it does not seem to be helping at all. I have avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip. Can I take tramadol 50mg together with meloxicam 15mg for the pain?

They are sometimes prescribed together, but you should only take them both, if your doctor approves.

The FDA warns that Tramadol carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache.
