Taking Telma And Atenolol Together For Hypertension
UpdatedI am age 70 and taking Telma 40 but my blood pressure is not under control (160/110). I have scarring in my lungs and reduced lung function. I get easily tired. Can I take Atenolol also (along with using Telma 40) for reducing my blood pressure?

Has your doctor told you to take both of them?
Multiple medications are often prescribed to help lower someone's blood pressure as fast and as safely as possible.
The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Are you on any other medications?
Can I take Atenolol 50mg instead of Telma 40 for treating hypertension? I'm taking Telma 40 now and would like to switch.
