Taking Norco...help Me

I take norco on a daily basis for many years .....I went to a new doctor and was told. My urine came back with no norco in it?..I asked how can that happen? And demand a new test and blood test ....they feel that I've been selling them ..I have a lot of heath issues?.. So how can this happen ...I went right to the drug store to find out what and how this could happen ...they told me that something is wrong with tests?..and they feel there is something seriously wrong with my body..and this drug? Help please!!

It typically takes 2-4 days for hydrocodone to clear your system but that time may be longer if you have been taking it long term or you have underlying kidney or liver disease.

There is always the possibility that the test could have been mixed up or something wrong with the test cup. You have the right to request a repeat drug test but I should warn you that you may have to pay for the test out of pocket. It would have been best if you requested the repeat urine or blood test on the same day.

I have been taking the generic version of Norco 10 mg (3-4 tabs daily) since 2008 and have always tested positive, both blood and urine for Hydrocodone. My Pain Mgmt. Doctor has always told me that if my screen comes up showing no Norco in my system then he would no longer prescribe the medication. Luckily I now have an exception if I could show that I was unable to have the prescription filled at the pharmacy due to the continuing shortage that has been occurring since Dec. 2014 due to the new DEA regulations. That is an issue that I have been keeping my physician informed about.
