I just got off zpack about a week ago and before that i had taken penicillin vk 500mg. So i wanted to know if it's ok to take doxycycline 100 mg because my ears are bothering me now?

That is fine, if your medical provider has instructed you to do so.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of these antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
However, doing so without confirmation that you have an infection could cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could put your life in danger.
Why have you been taking so many antibiotics?
