Taking Ampicilina 500 Mg For Strep Throat

I have a sore throat, hurts to move head or injest anything. Can I take ampicilina 500mg to cure it? And how much do I have to take. I am allergic to doxycycline , can I take this ?

It depends on whether or not it is due to an infection and on the type of infection. Strep or other infections will require an antibiotic, but only your doctor can confirm the presence of one.

An antibiotic shouldn't be taken, without your doctor telling you to do so, because doing so creates the risk of developing antibiotic resistance.
