They can be used together, however, it may increase the risk of seizures, so a doctor does have to carefully consider the dosage that is used, because the higher the dosage of Wellbutrin/Bupropion, the greater the risk involved.

These medications may cause other side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain.

About 3 wks ago I started taking generic wellbutrin 100 mg twice a day. I am still having crying episodes, getting upset easily and having trouble sleeping. I am feeling like I either need a dose increase or to add a different medication along with the wellbutrin. I liked Cymbalta a lot....except for the side effects. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Lisa have been doing internet searching for a lead to see if anyone has the same symptoms as I have and is looking to add something that may take away the d epression of sadness that I am going thru right now. In short, the bottom line is that when I saw my med doctor two weeks ago, he put me on a new program from what I have been on for the past four years. I was injured on a SPED bus trip as a monitor and was given the generic for Cymbolta when I finished my rehab for my injured knee and back. Now 4 years later my mental health has deteriated quite a bit due to a job release last Sept., trouble with my daughter in law at Christmas, and finally my putting down of my beautiful North American Eskimo "Angel" in April due to a cancerous tuma on her bladder! Been crying ever sense! Doc has put me on Celexa 10mg to start with. I miss my Cymbolta like you would never know!! My neighbor suggested a low dose of Wellbutrin added to my Celexa. Hopefully this will help put me on an even straight path as I had 10 years ago on Celexa. Work close with your medicine doctor. Bottom line ~ try (ask your doctor) adding Celexa to your meds. See your doctor. Do some research, it works!!
