Taking Tramadol In Place Of Codeine
UpdatedHi all, I’ve run out of Codeine which I take for pain. Can I take Tramadol until my new prescription arrives?

Technically, this can be done, but you should only do it, if your doctor feels it is safe for you.
The FDA warns that Tramadol, and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Are you on any other medications?
