I been perscribed hydrocodone and recently switched to oxycodone i took my last two hydrocodone this morning. Would it be safe to take an oxycodone 12 hours later. I understand you should be fine as long as your doctor knows but i would like to know from others experience who have done this before what was your experience like? We're you fine or did you experience uncomfortable side effects?

It is always best to follow your doctor's instructions for your dosing regimen. Did they tell you to switch after 12 hours?

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.

I've had to switch several times, due to bad reactions, of the inefficacy of a medication, and as long as I followed what my doctor and pharmacist told me, I never had a problem, but we are all different.

Have you tried making the switch, yet?
